Timeslips 2019 has been released. An important notice is that support for version 2017 is going away. Effective immediately you can no longer purchase additional licenses for v2017. If you are using Timeslips ecenter or credit card processing, support will be ending on July 31, 2018.
In addition to fixing a number of issues (details available in Knowledgebase article 66902 – Sage Timeslips Release Notes) there are new features to help you get more out of Timeslips.
Client Contacts
You can now track Client Contacts in Timeslips. Client Contacts are people or organizations that you want to track but they are separate from clients. You will not be sending bills to client contacts. Contacts can be associated with one or more of your clients.
LawPay Integration
Now customers can pay invoices on the fly with the LawPay Integration. You can now include payment links with your emailed bills, allowing your clients to pay you using
LawPay.
Electronic Billing: Additional LEDES formats
In previous releases, Timeslips only included Ledes1997A & Ledes1998B. But now you can use LEDES 1998BI, LEDES 2000, and LEDES XML formats for bill auditing.
Time Entry: Filter Weekly Time Sheet
Previously, when using the weekly timesheet, if you wanted to hide templates that you’re not currently using then you would have to set individual templates as inactive. Now you have another option; you can set up filters to determine which templates show up on the time sheet.
Security Profile reporting
Now you can print reports detailing Timekeeper Security restrictions & profiles. This will make it easier to see which Timekeepers have what rights.
Ledes1998B Naming Options
Now you have the ability to control naming conventions to the Electronic Billing exported file name. Auto-naming makes it simpler to save and find your electronic billing files.
Type Search delay preference
Have you ever started typing a client name in the slip list and found that after a few letters Timeslips jumps to another part of the list as if you stopped and started typing again. Pauses in typing can cause the search to reset. With v2019, you can now set the “Reset type search criteria when there is no activity for” preference to delay that reset and get to your names more smoothly.
Previewing reports to Display
In previous versions of Timeslips, several lists throughout Timeslips include a Print icon which allows you to print the report. On the Menus and Commands section of Preferences, you can set the “Print from dialogs” preference. Setting this preference to Print to Display allows you to preview these reports before printing to printer or file.
