LexisNexis has released PCLaw v13. If you have PCLaw and are on a maintenance plan there are some nice new features included and the new version is available to you at no charge. If you are not currently on a maintenance plan or are looking for a complete time, billing and accounting solution with some practice management features added for extra value – you should take a look at PCLaw.
The key new feature is three major “Dashboards” that give you quick access to the information you need.
My Practice – Review all daily practice, case, calendar and client management information with enough time left over to read the paper – before you have finished your first cup of coffee!
My Clients – Impress your clients and increase customer satisfaction by having all case and matter details, reminders, account details, document access and recent activity just a click away during any phone call.
My Business – Keep a constant eye on your financial goals, billable hours, work in progress, balances and accounting with the ability to drill down to the details with a click or two of your mouse. Keep your accountant happy with the ability to quickly produce reports with just the information they need.
In addition, PCLaw has added a Client Intake Template. Interview your client and fill in the form or email the form to the client and import the data into PCLaw when the the client returns the form. The workflow process helps you gather complete information, run conflict checks and send an acceptance letter.
LexisNexis has also improved the process for emailing bills to clients so that you can get paid faster and with less effort.
